My Story

“By prevailing over all obstacles and distractions, one may unfailingly arrive at his chosen goal or destination.” – Christopher Columbus

I quite often felt that I was supposed to do something special with my life. Something extraordinary. I felt I was meant to make a difference in the world. I was tired of working jobs I had no passion for, and doing what was expected of me, burying myself in the same life as everyone around me.

When I was made redundant from my last job, I felt that it was time for me to actually take charge of my own life, and make some choices about how I was going to live it.

Hi, my name is Karl Kleimeyer. Welcome to my website.

If you are anything like I was, you are online right now; looking for a way to break free of a job you hate, make more money, and have the freedom to spend more time with the people you care about, doing the things you love.

I have experienced many different ways of making money, and at the end of the day (as you will read), I took my search to the Internet.

The most important lesson I have learned is that if it is possible for an ex-fisherman and nightclub bouncer with no marketing experience to build a business online, it is possible for anyone who is determined to change the way they live their life.

I grew up in Brisbane, Queensland, on the east coast of Australia. I had a very happy childhood, and spent most of my time playing sport. I loved all sports, and excelled at everything from hockey, to basketball, tennis, swimming, rugby league and union and martial arts.

I thrived on the competitive nature of sport, and pushed myself hard to do well.

Throughout high school, besides playing competition tennis, I worked for my father in his businesses.

My father is a successful businessman, who owned bakeries and charter boats.

My father from an early age influenced me. On the one hand, I admired his dedication, self discipline and drive. He worked long and hard, and would be away from home for 3 to 9 month periods.

And this was the flipside of being a brick and mortar business owner.

Such hard work, and so little time to spend with the family, there seemed to be no way to have a healthy balance.

When I was in High School, right before I was to go to the USA on a tennis scholarship, my parents split up.

It was a very dark time for me. I guess you could say I lost my way. I no longer wanted to compete, and I dropped out of most of the sports I had enjoyed so much.

I still worked for my Dad on the weekends, but I used the divorce as an excuse to hang out with my friends, and do what I wanted, including going out to clubs at only 15 years of age. I was way out of my depth.

When I finished High School, I floated around with no particular goals or plans.

I picked and packed fruit and vegetables at the markets, and then left the city to work as a baker’s assistant at an island resort for a year or so. My Dad offered me a full time job working in his fishing boat charter business on the Great Barrier Reef and I accepted the job.

While I was grateful for the work, I was restless. I knew I did not want to be stuck there for the rest of my life.

After a year, a friend showed me an MLM business opportunity, which changed the way I viewed everything.

I was immediately taken in by the way the business worked. It just seemed too easy; who knew you could make so much money just by “showing lots of people the plan.”?

A business model “so easy, anyone can do it!” Right?

I was a man on a mission. I did everything I was told, and for the first time in my life, I had a dream…

I wanted to be financially free and travel the world at 20 years of age. I had dreams of living the lifestyle of a millionaire. And I was determined to make it happen.

After almost two years of showing the plan, I had a large downline by doing everything my sponsor told me. But the most I made in a month was just over $300.

Lucky I didn’t have to pay rent because I was living at my mum’s house in a spare room. “Faking it ‘til I made it”, you could say.

Many of my down line, most of which were my friends and family friends, pulled out because they weren’t making money.

I felt like I let them down because the business didn’t work for them.

There wasn’t really a step-by-step training program for us to follow. We just all did what our sponsors told us to do.

Looking back now, I can see how flawed the whole idea was, and now I know what the real “secret” to success is. But I am getting ahead of myself.

By this time, I was cash strapped, and I went through a succession of jobs, which gave me a pretty decent income.

I worked on charter boats and as a Maritime Security Officer, and then went on to work as a nightclub bouncer at night.

At one stage I was working 80 hours per week and earning almost $100,000 per year.

But I was uneducated about money. I had no idea how to handle it. And so I did what everyone around me was doing…working hard at jobs I hated, making good money, spending every cent and complaining that I hated my life.

It started to dawn on me that if I wanted anything to change, I would have to change.

I went online to find a way to build a business of my own. A business that I could be proud of, and which would give me the time and financial freedom to live life on my own terms. No more paycheck to paycheck living.

My MLM experience had taught me something critical about any business and that is this…

Products and compensation plans do NOT build a business.

Professional and leveraged marketing is what builds a business.

So the first port of call was to find a way to educate myself how to market on the Internet. As Bill Gates himself has said, “If you are in business and not online, you are not in business.”

Now my focus is all about education and marketing. I tap in to a community of the most successful people online today, teaching the way.

For the first time in my life, I am starting to understand why the world economy is in such bad shape, but most importantly, how I can protect myself and position myself to be financially secure, no matter what is happening on Wall Street.

If you are reading this right now because you are looking for a way to create a life you love, I encourage you to do your due diligence thoroughly (I certainly wished I had, first time around – what an expensive lesson).

Ask all the hard questions and get the answers you need to make a fully informed decision. If you are not going to be taught how to market professionally keep looking, and if it all sounds too good or easy to be true, it probably is.

Respectfully,

Karl Kleimeyer
